Crillon, Chaillol, and Paris

Well, a few glorious days in Crillon, where we hiked, went on a wine tour, and sat by the pool, and we were off. The winding road to Gap was the bane of the car sick people, but was very interesting otherwise. The convoy made it relatively easily, with a minimum of losing each other. We spent the next couple of days hiking in the Alps out of Chaillol (very small ski resort town), which is where Luc's mom Annette grew up. Annette led us to some great treks, and we saw many goats. Rosa can actually do a pretty good lamb impression too. Finally it came time to split with the group (although we'll see all but Luc's mom back in Vancouver shortly). A long overnight trip to Paris and we stagger into the Hostel at about 7am... only to discover that we can't actually check in until 4pm... So we put our bags in the luggage storage area (dungeon) and head to Versailles for the day, which is spectacular. Paris is so far consisiting of endless walking, beautiful views, and a somewhat tired and sore Kate and Cam. Eiffel tower and Louvre round 2 (yes we did the night visit after Versailles), and here we are. Next update with pictures when we get back to Vancouver, a whole 1.5 hours after we leave Paris (hello 10 hr flight and time difference).
